At Misaki Medaka, we primarily practice outdoor breeding. Sunlight enhances the medaka's body color and promotes vitamin D production, contributing to their health. The vibrant coloration, not achievable with indoor breeding, is a unique charm of outdoor breeding.

Commitment to Water Quality Management

We regularly manage the breeding water, raising medaka in a stable water quality environment. By utilizing green water (water containing phytoplankton), we achieve improved survival rates and enhanced body color in fry.

Management by Variety

We separate breeding containers by variety to prevent cross-breeding. We raise Daruma Medaka, Miyuki Medaka, Lame Medaka, Kohaku Medaka, and other varieties using breeding methods suitable for each.
